* how God’s Spirit touched us with blessed worship and meaningful connections during our virtual and in-person Annual Sessions June 18-19. Being together at Amigo Centre on Saturday was a healing balm for many of us after so many months of limited personal contacts.

* your commitment to Growing our Intercultural Witness and the ways we could begin living into that through some new practices at Annual Sessions this year.

* that Piedra Viva Mennonite Church was welcomed as a new member congregation of IMMC at Annual Sessions!  Bendiciones a todos de la iglesia Viva Piedras!

* the effective ministry and leadership of Dan Miller at IMMC over the past 12 years.

* God’s call to Joanne Gallardo and Sharon Yoder, their yes, and your affirmation for them to serve as co-ministers for IMMC in this next season.

* A variety of congregational delegates and participants from IMMC congregations joined MennoCon21. Included in those were Sharon (participating virtually) and IMMC moderator Brenda Meyer (attending in-person in Cincinnati).

* The monthly staff lunch gathering on June 23 provided a nice break during our annual archiving day. We took time over lunch to celebrate Anna Board and Dan Miller and their ministry with IMMC in these past years.

* Sharon met with transitional and interim pastors via Zoom on Tuesday morning June 8.

* Craig Oury, who had served for 15 years as pastor of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church in Maryland, will join Brian Bither on the pastoral team at Shalom Mennonite in Indianapolis on July 19.

* Congregational coaches have recently begun serving congregations: Marty Lehman at Waterford Mennonite in Goshen and Robert Schloneger at First Mennonite in Indianapolis.

Thank you for your generosity! We received $19,162 more than expected for June.  Also for the year we received an additional $36,872 of income that should have been listed in the previous year which was mainly the money received from the Payroll Protection Program and some from contributions that were for the previous year.  Due to the fact of a good balance we were able to purchase some much needed supplies and AC.   -Jim Norton, Bookkeeper

Prairie Street Mennonite Church in Elkhart, Indiana is celebrating the congregation’s 150th anniversary. As a part of the celebration, former congregational pastor and President Emeritus of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, J. Nelson Kraybill, has written and produced a video on the congregation’s founder, John F. Funk. A long-time publisher and pastor in Elkhart, Funk established or inspired multiple church institutions that shaped Mennonite communities in North America and subsequently elsewhere in the world. Mennonite historian John Ruth praises the “judicious interpretation and excellent visuals” of this 30-minute video, and says it warrants repeated viewings.
