Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference (IMMC) has an employment opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator at 0.50 FTE. Applicants must have a belief in Christ’s transforming power for all people, an appreciation for the local church, and an understanding of administration as pastoral care. The qualified candidate is proficient in using oral and written communication, writing and editing publications. They are competent with planning and managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines and using technology in its various and changing forms (MS Office, MS Access, WordPress and social media, etc.). They will relate with diverse cultures with strong intercultural competence, managing and making decisions consistent with IMMC’s stated mission and vision. Underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Contact imoffice@im.mennonite.net or call 574-534-4006 for a job description. To apply, send resume to sharon@im.mennonite.net.

  • Today IMMC delegates are gathering for Spring Summit at Belmont Mennonite Church in Elkhart; next Saturday IMMC delegates will gather on Zoom. In our gathering we’ll celebrate that Love knows no limits and Love has no borders as we listen to difficult and moving stories from persons who joined the Civil Rights tour sponsored by IMMC and Mennonite Mission Network Civil Rights in February.
  • We are deeply grateful for Clayton Gladish and his 3½ years serving as administrative coordinator for IMMC. Clayton made IMMC a better place. His pastoral presence and administrative ministry will be greatly missed when he concludes ministry with us on March 31 to return to fulltime pastoral ministry. We celebrate this opportunity and extend our blessings to Clayton as he increases his time on the pastoral team at Silverwood Mennonite Church.
  • Joanne – Attended Hope for the Future February 27-29 at College Mennonite Church. This was also a celebration of Damascus Road. Joanne appreciated the fellowship, workshops, and speakers.
  • Sharon met with Parkview Mennonite Church leaders in Kokomo, IN on March 5.
  • Joanne met with the Conference Ministers from Ohio, Central District, and Illinois for the Mid-States Conference Meeting on February 17.
  • Sharon has been in conversation with potential pastoral applicants for interim and settled pastoral openings at College Mennonite Church, East Goshen Mennonite Church, First Mennonite Church (Indianapolis), and Kalamazoo Mennonite Fellowship. Join us in praying for Spirit guidance as people ponder whether they’re called to serve in these positions.
  • LET continues to connect churches with one another to form “sister churches” throughout IMMC, as well as assist congregations who desire a congregational coach.

Experience the presence of God through observations of nature and interactions with other women: witness the hope of the Creator in the delicate flowers; smell the aroma of new beginnings in the fresh pine air; and hear the wisdom of God through the voices of others. Along with facilitator Sharon Brugger Norton, Amigo invites you to connect with women of all backgrounds and abilities as we learn more about ourselves and God through the Creation around us.

Register at bit.ly/AmigoRegistration.

We invite you to experience the healing balm of the natural setting of Amigo Centre, while connecting with others who are on a similar life-path. David and Naomi Wenger, together with other skilled leaders, will facilitate sessions and activities that expand our toolboxes for grieving well and for accepting grief as a part of life. We offer a kind and flexible space to reflect in groups and individually.

Last September we began spreading the news about a Lilly Endowment-funded Thriving Congregations Initiative at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS), Orienting With the Word. This opportunity is now available to congregations in your conference. We have made some changes to the program by shortening the congregational time commitment, centering the practice of Bible study, and making more explicit the program’s leadership development aim. I have attached new Program Description and Frequently Asked Questions documents for your information.

Orienting With the Word (OWW) is now accepting applications for Cohort 1 which will run from August 1 through December 21, 2025. The Compass Bible Study Retreat and Training Seminar for Cohort 1 will be held from September 25–27 at Laurelville Retreat Center in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania.

Applications for the second Cohort, which will run from January 1 through May 24, 2026, are also being accepted. The Compass Bible Study Retreat And Training Seminar for Cohort 2 will be held in March of 2026 at AMBS in Elkhart, Indiana.

As a grant-funded program, there is no fee for churches to participate in the program. Congregations that you serve may be eligible for either of these Cohorts. Please help us by passing this information along to any congregation you believe would be a good fit for the Orienting With the Word program.

For more information and application visit Orienting With the Word.

Mennonite Action Prayers: We cry “NO” to many things, the need for lament is increasing, and some are afraid to speak publicly. Sisters and brothers and neighbors and world citizens in so many places are suffering because of greed and war and hostilities. Join a group to express laments to God and to pray for peace. We will meet on March 18 from noon until 1 p.m. in the College Mennonite Church Gathering Rooms (141-142) to pray with silence, songs, spoken prayers, scripture reading, and candle-lighting, lamenting and praying for justice and peace throughout the world. We will pray for permanent ceasefires in Gaza and Ukraine and many other places, as well as for people suffering throughout the world. Come for a short time or stay for the hour.
