• Joanne, Sharon, and moderator-elect Becky Helmuth attended MC USA Constituency Leadership Council (CLC) meetings in Wichita, KS, May 9-10. Meaningful connections and conversations happened as we reviewed the new Abuse Prevention and Accountability document and heard various updates from MC USA and affiliated organizations. Joanne joined Randy Spaulding in leading worship services for the event.

• Joanne preached at Wildwood in April and at Kern Road in May. Sharon preached at Belmont Mennonite Church and Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship in April.

• Joanne met with Anabaptist CEOs at Camp Friedenswald on April 17.

• Sunnyside pastors Maria Hosler Byler and Osée Tshiwape led a service of Solidarity and Prayer for the Democratic Republic of Congo on May 17. MCC and AIMM representatives gave updates on the ongoing conflict in the region and Sharon Yoder led in a prayer of lament and petition for peace. IMMC currently has three pastors who come from DR Congo: Osée Tshiwape; Ndunge Sefu (recently concluded interim ministry at Kalamazoo Mennonite Fellowship); and Simon Muange (pastoring an emerging congregation in Detroit).
