Annual Sessions is in the rearview mirror
The CAMFell planners organized an amazing time of worship and learning for Annual Sessions 2018!
Many described a sense of joy and an awareness of God’s presence as the list of Shared Spiritual Practices shaped the agenda in Indianapolis. Thank you! Thank you!

Delegate sessions began with Bible study. In following sessions, delegates approved all proposals brought to them. (Some items require bylaw changes, which should come to delegates next summer.) Paula and Dan shared about the trip to Tanzania to explore relationship with Shirati Diocese.
Sermon recordings are available on the Annual Sessions page on the website.
Plan now to attend next year, when Annual Sessions 2019 will return to Amigo Centre on June 13-15. Missional Leadership Team (MLT) will host an event of worship and resourcing.

Paula Killough and Dan Miller travelled to Tanzania for two weeks at the invitation of Bishop Chris Kateti, to explore the possibility of relationship between IMMC and Shirati Diocese. They talked with diocesan staff, provided input on 4 days – pastors and wives, youth leaders, women and evangelism departments – preached and met many wonderful people in Shirati. Paula and Dan are open to sharing about the trip with congregations if desired. They are seeking counsel from experienced staff at Mennonite Mission Network for how to think about this and frame a process for considering a conference relationship. Missional Leadership Team will discuss this at their fall retreat.
Bob Yoder and Shannon Dycus represented IMMC at the spring meeting of Constituency Leaders Council, a semi-annual meeting of conference and Mennonite Church USA leaders. Dan Miller was not able to attend due to illness.

Dan Miller on Sabbatical August – October
Missional Leadership Team (MLT) approved Dan’s sabbatical plan for this fall. He will take a class and talk with others about leadership development. He will also plan a week-long retreat, and possibly some travels east and west.
Two part-time people will cover during Dan’s absence. Sharon Yoder will cover the search and credentialing work. Tim Burkholder will cover the office and administrative work.

We invite prayers for Dan, Sharon and Tim.

At its May 26 meeting Ministry Credentialing Team (MCT) heard a report from Dan about the trip he and Paula took to Tanzania to explore relationships with Shirati Diocese. Dan reported on North Leo’s decision to leave conference, though it is waiting to set a date until they decide where to affiliate; and an upcoming vote at Yellow Creek Mennonite to affiliate with LMC (formerly Lancaster Conference). While Dan is on sabbatical, there will be several installation and ordination services. Sharon Yoder and Tim Burkholder will cover in Dan’s absence. Conversation continued on a document to orient new pastors to IMMC culture. MCT received an invitation to think about another boundaries seminar as part for the November Pastor Gathering.
